Word of God Christian Center would like to make the following announcements:
The atmosphere for our corporate worship is lively, free, and as genuine as we know how to present ourselves through the expression of songs of praise unto our God. We allow the Spirit of God to have His way as we encounter Him through sincere and authentic worship. Our songs of worship are both traditional and contemporary, with an emphasis on having all souls to be full participants in our worship experience. John 4:24
Our foodbank ministry has been in existence since 2005. We serve the city of New Bern, and any outlying towns within the Craven County area. Our foodbank operates from internal donations (within the church). We purchase food by the pound, and we also receive contributions from Food Bank of America, and a local grocery store chain. Our operational personnel consist solely of church volunteers, of which we are so grateful since the food bank has grown from a once per month distribution to twice per month. We distribute (free) food to families that consist of dry and canned goods, milk, eggs, cheese, fresh produce, bottled juice, and a variety of frozen meats. We serve with no hidden agendas, obligations from the families, or fees. We serve every walk of life that enter our doors with no bias, prejudice, or concern of a church affiliation; we are simply doing the work of God. Matthew 24:32-40
Our seniors are one of the most valued group of people we have the privilege to minister to. Their souls and well-being are important to God and is paramount to our priestly assignment. They are a sure and solid foundation of our church. There are times when our seniors are up to the physical challenge of having godly fun amongst themselves, through loving competition, laughing with and at each other that account for group cohesion and expressions of immeasurable love. Titus 2:3-5
